Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate the identification of the primary components responsible for thermal efficiency deterioration by calculating the heat balance regarding each component of the thermal power plant, performing convergence calculations of the measurement data wherein the measurement data and heat balance are taken as the standard value and are recognized to be low precision, and determining the heat balance of the overall plant.
SOLUTION: Measurement data which is detected from a plurality of sensors 21a through 21n which perform measurements with regard to thermal efficiency is incorporated into a computer system 22. Then, internal heat balance calculations of high, mid, and low pressure turbines, and heat balance calculations of each heater and around each deaerator are performed based on highly precise data with almost no measurement error such as that of the input/output heat from each turbine, input/output heat from each heater and around each deaerator, and the output of each power generator and the like. Those measurement results are then taken as the standard value and convergence calculations of the measurement data with expected calculation errors such as that of main steam flow rate and the turbine extraction steam flow rate are performed. The overall heat balance is then determined. Based on this and the degree to which component performance contributes to thermal efficiency, the primary components responsible for thermal efficiency deterioration are identified.
