Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal energy recovery device which is stably operated using a pump having a mechanical seal part, and to provide a pump replacement method of the thermal energy recovery device.SOLUTION: An energy recovery device comprises an evaporator, an expander, a power recovery device, a condenser, a pump (18), a circulation passage, and a control part. The pump (18) has: an impeller (32); a casing (34); an electric motor (36); a mechanical seal part (38) which seals a space between the casing (34) and the electric motor (36); and a space forming wall (40) forming a storage space (S), which stores a gaseous working medium leaking from the interior of the casing (34) to the exterior of the casing (34) through the mechanical seal part (38), between the casing (34) and the electric motor (36). The control part outputs a detection signal when leakage of the gaseous working medium from the interior of the casing (34) to the storage space (S) is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
