PURPOSE: To improve mass productivity by reducing an irregularity in characteristics of a thermal flowrate sensor due to a deviation of connection when a resistor element of the sensor of a plate type utilizing a temperature dependent resistor is connected to a support member.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal flowrate sensor has a resistor element formed with an aligning groove 11a for connecting a base end of a flat plate board 11 formed with a temperature dependent resistor 12 at its upper part to a support member 16 and supported to the member 16 in a cantilever state. After a guide protrusion provided at a connecting jig is aligned with the groove 11a of the element in order to connect the element to a conductor wire 15 formed on the member 16, the element is connected to the member 16, and a lead 17 from a driving circuit is electrically connected to the wire 15 at the other end of the member 16.
