Abstract:
To provide a thermal-image proximity gesture discrimination module, a device having a thermal-image proximity gesture discrimination function, and a thermal-image proximity gesture discrimination method.SOLUTION: A thermal-image proximity gesture discrimination module 10 according to the present invention is arranged in a device having a non-lensed infrared window, and includes a temperature sensor array 12, an analog-to-digital converter 13, and a microcontroller 11. The temperature sensor array 12 consists of at least 8×8 thermo-sensitive units configured to detect infrared rays emitted by an object 9 that is 5 cm or more and 35 cm or less away from the non-lensed infrared window, generate a thermal image array, and output a thermally induced voltage array. The analog-to-digital converter 13, which is connected to the temperature sensor array 12, receives the thermally induced voltage array and converts the received thermally induced voltage array to a digital thermally induced voltage array.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1A
