Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide the subject method causing no cloggings at nozzle tip due to ink drying and no ink scorching on a heater and also no heater failure and no ink dripping from head.

CONSTITUTION: This thermal ink jet recording method is such that ink drops are heated by making thermal energy act on the ink. This ink to be used contains, as the essential ingredients, (a) 3-20wt.% of 2,2'-thiodiethanol and (b) 1-20wt.% of a compound of formula, CnH2n+1O(CH2CH2O)mH ((n) is an integer of 3-6; (m) is 1-3).
