Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal insulating paper cup in which paper is a major raw material for it, it has an easy discarding characteristic, an easy combustion characteristic and further it has no possibility to produce odor and to provide a thermal insulating paper cup manufacturing method.
SOLUTION: The lower segment of a paper cylinder 20 is formed with a curved segment 21 which is curved inwardly under application of pressure and/or heating and pressure. The lower end of the curved segment is formed with a cylindrical leg 23 having some protrusion notches equally spaced apart, extending downwardly and fixed to the outer surface of an annular leg 14. The cylinder is fitted to a barrel 11 of a paper cup main body 10, the upper end of the cylinder is contacted with the lower edge of an edge segment 13 and fixed there. The cylindrical leg 23 at the lower end of the cylinder formed with a curved segment is adhered to and fixed to the outer surface of the annular leg 14 at the lower edge of the leg at the paper cup main body, and a thermal insulating space layer 22 is formed between the barrel segment of the paper cup main body and the paper cylinder.
