To provide a thermal overload relay capable of achieving stable operational characteristics by holding an adjustment dial at a fixed position.
A thermal overload relay comprises: an outer case 1; an adjustment dial 12 which is inserted into an adjustment dial insertion hole 1a formed on the outer case 1 and adjusts a setting current; and a linear spring 13 which fixes the adjustment dial 12. A shaft 12a of the adjustment dial 12 is provided with an inclined surface 12b, and a holding part 13a arranged on the linear spring 13 is fixed to the inclined surface 12b. A locking part 1c, which prevents the linear spring 13 from turning even if the adjustment dial 12 is rotated while it is being held in the outer case 1, is provided inside the outer case 1.
