To obtain a thermal printer device that is provided with a cooling-fan control means and prevents excessive power consumption while efficiently cooling a thermal head.
The thermal printer device is provided with a fan 4 for cooling the thermal head 1 of a printer device, a first temperature detection means 7 for detecting a temperature of the thermal head 1, a second temperature detection means 9 for detecting an outside temperature of the printer device, and a first control means 10 that adjusts a voltage supplied to the fan so as to control a rotating speed of the fan. The first control means 10 controls the rotating speed of the fan 4 on the basis of the detected temperatures of the first/second temperature detection means 7, 9 so as to perform temperature control of the thermal head.
