Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal printer that can suppress the large sizes and manufacturing cost increase of the thermal printers and suppress occurrence of protrusion marks on the printed surface of the over-coated paper.SOLUTION: The thermal printer includes a thermal head 30, a platen roller 3, a pinch roller 2, a feed roller 100, a grip roller 1, a first changeover part, and a second changeover part. When the color material layer is transferred on the back surface Pb and the front surface Pa of the paper 10a to be printed, the first changeover part changes the hold roller to the grip roller 1, and the second changeover part changes the drive roller to the grip roller 1, and when the overcoat layer is transferred on the back surface Pb and the front surface Pa of the paper 10a to be printed, the first changeover part changes the hold roller to the feed roller 100 and the second changeover part changes the drive roller to the platen roller 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 7
