Abstract:
To provide a thermal protector of high reliability having a breaking function against an overcurrent even when switch contacts are fused with each other, and a manufacturing method thereof.
A device is provided with a fixed electrode 1 having a fixed contact 2 at an end part, and a movable electrode 4 having a movable contact 3 and to be deformed by heat to contact with/apart from the fixed electrode 1. In the fixed electrode 1, plural electrode plates 5, 6 are fixed to each other through a fusible metal 7 in the lengthwise direction, and boundary surfaces of the electrode plates 5, 6 fixed by the fusible metal 7 are formed inclined.
