Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain uniform color even in a small-sized driving means by splitting heating resistors into a group which has been thinned at an even interval from the heating resistors and other group and respectively overheating them in different time zones. CONSTITUTION:A thermal recording head 507 in which the number of heating resistors 507a equivalent to that included in one line in the main scanning direction of a picture signal which has been stored in a picture memory 501 are installed in an array corresponding to that of the picture signal and a driving means 508 which alternately conducts to the heating resistors belonging to a part of the heating resistor group being a part of the heating resistors in which a picture signal level corresponds with a picture signal in one level and the heating resistors belonging to a residual heating resistor group. The quantity of a recording factor is impressed on adjacent resistance elements in heating resistor rows for thermal printing, which are arranged along the direction of main scanning of the picture memory in other time zone and a time interval for printing is set equal. Thus, the color of uniform density can be printed.
