PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal recording material not generating the lowering of image density or background fog even when a thermal recording layer and an electron beam curable overcoat layer are made adjacent to each other and excellent in image preservability, chemical resistance and recording characteristics.
CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording material is obtained by providing a thermal recording layer based on an aromatic isocyanate compound and an imino compound having at least one >CH=NH group reacting with said isocyanate compound at the time of heating to form a color and an overcoat layer composed of an electron beam curable resin composition to at least the single surface of a support. This thermal recording material is excellent in image preservability, chemical resistance and recording characteristics even when the thermal recording layer and the overcoat layer are adjacent to each other.
