Title:
THERMAL RECORDING PAPER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH0447983
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To achieve stability of size to variation in moisture percentage and improvement of stiffness by a method wherein after adding specific resin to pulp slurry,a thermal recording layer is provided on base paper manufactured by beating.

CONSTITUTION: A thermal recording layer is provided onto base paper manufactured by beating after adding polyamide-epichlorohydrin resin to pulp slurry. In that case, an additional quantity of polyamide-polyamine-epichlorohydrin resin shall be 0.1 or over up to and incl. 1.0 wt.% of pulp, and a difference of water retentivity before and after beating should preferably be 20 points or over up to and including 80 points. For thermal base paper, that containing a dye, a filler, a size agent, a fixing agent, a dry paper force reinforcing agent, etc. is used as occasion demands, and as the thermal recording layer, that of a leuco dye series, an optical fixing type, metal salt type, an antifade-type, etc. is used. Thus, since an inner surface of a pulp fiber wall in the base paper is processed by polyamide-polyamine-epichlorohydrin resin, dimensional stability to variation in moisture percentage becomes excellent and highly stiff thermal recording paper can be obtained.
