Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved thermal sensor.SOLUTION: A thermal/overheat sensor for an aircraft includes an outer electrode, an inner electrode, and a support layer disposed between the outer electrode and the inner electrode. The support layer contains a state changing material, and the state changing material is configured to transition at a threshold temperature between a non-conductive state and a conductive state to electrically connect the outer electrode and the inner electrode.
