Title:
THERMAL SPRAYING METHOD FOR MULTIPLE CYLINDER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH11264341
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To avoid raising a temperature of a base material caused by thermal spraying heat, respectively prevent separation of a membrane, distortion of a bore, reduction of a base material, and the like which are caused by thermal spraying heat by carrying out work so as to not continuously thermal spray a cylinder bore arranged adjacent to each other, in a device in which the membrane is formed on a cylinder bore wall surface by thermal spraying.

In the case where a device is adapted to a four cylinder, an inner wall surface of a bore is thermal sprayed following with orders of a #2 cylinder bore 102 of a cylinder block 100, a #4 cylinder bore 104, a #1 cylinder bore 101, and a #3 cylinder bore 103. As a result, an intermediate wall which is thermal sprayed once and whose temperature is raised is naturally cooled while the other cylinder bore is thermal sprayed, over heating is avoid between cylinder bores without carrying specific cooling. Namely, a base material temperature is held to a suitable temperature, for example, at 200°C and less. It is thus possible to respectively prevent separation of a membrane, distortion of a bore, reduction of a base material and the like caused by thermal spraying heat.
