Abstract:
To generate a pain sensation even at a comparatively low temperature.SOLUTION: A stimulation surface 4 located on the top surface of a stimulation part 3 of a temperature stimulating device 1 includes a first stimulation surface 31, a second stimulation surface 41, and a third stimulation surface 51. A clearance between the first stimulation surface 31 and the second stimulation surface 41 and a clearance between the second stimulation surface 41 and the third stimulation surface 51 are substantially in contact. In a case of generating a temperature difference between the second stimulation surface 41 in the center and the first and third stimulation surfaces 31 and 51 on both of the sides while a subject's skin is placed on the stimulation surface 4, the subject is capable of recognizing a pain sensation even at a comparatively low temperature and a temperature stimulation can be given safely to the subject.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
