Abstract:
To clean air before performing the separation of air by crytogenic distillation.
Three adsorbent beds are used and a first bed mainly removes moisture and a second bed mainly removes CO2 and a third bed removes gaseous components like N2O and hydrocarbons discharged from the second bed. It is found out that a CaX type adsorbent removes N2O and hydrocarbons in the third bed.
