Abstract:
To provide a thermal transfer image receiving sheet having a thermal transfer image of high density and high quality by employing a substrate having a porous film as a void structure of the sheet, eliminating requirement of accurate control of conditions for forming the porous film and solving the problems on flammability, safety relating to exertion of a bad influence upon lives or the like and the like to reduce total manufacturing cost, and its manufacturing method.
In the thermal transfer image receiving sheet formed by providing at least a dye receiving layer on the substrate, the substrate is made of a film having a porous foamed structure obtained by dissolving and diffusing gas under super-critical state in a thermoplastic resin.
