To provide a thermal transfer ink ribbon which exhibits excellent adhesion properties to a polyolefin base material, is excellent in water resistance of a printing area of an image-formed product and water repellency of a non-printing area thereof and has a transfer layer capable of keeping high design properties for a long period of time and to provide a method for producing the image-formed product by using the thermal transfer ink ribbon.
The thermal transfer ink ribbon 1 has the transfer layer 110 having transferability formed on one surface side of a base material. The transfer layer includes a visual effect exhibiting layer 90 and an adhesive layer 100 from the base material side 60. The adhesive layer includes a polyolefin resin at the least and has 70-115°C melting point M. The method for producing the image-formed product comprises: a step (i) of preparing the thermal transfer ink ribbon; a step (ii) of preparing a body to be transferred; a step (iii) of thermally transferring the transfer layer of the thermal transfer ink ribbon to one surface side of the body to be transferred to form an image pattern.
