Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermal transfer ink ribbon which requires less printing energy.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer ink ribbon comprising a substrate and a coating layer including at least one layer of hot-melt ink layer provided on one side of the substrate, melting point or softening point of the ink layer is 60-120°C and heat quantity requied for raising the temperature of the ink ribbon from 25°C to 120°C is 1350J/m2 or less.
