PURPOSE: To obtain a thermal transfer material which enables printing of high- density, clear-color images despite a low energy applied to a thermal head without any unevenness in an inked surface by applying a thermomelting ink consisting mainly of a special thermomelting amide compound having an aromatic ring on a base film.
CONSTITUTION: A thermomelting compound consists mainly of an aromatic amine and an amide compound which is obtained from a fatty acid having a carbon number of 8W32 and has a range of melting point 60W100°C in a thermomelting layer. Further the amide compound is a thermal transfer material which is composed mainly of at least two different types of amide compounds. The melting point of the thermomelting layer is 60W100°C, preferably 60W90°C. The melting point can be adjusted in an extensive range due to the mixed melting effect by the mixture of at least two different types of amide compounds. For instance, the melting point can be adjusted from 75 to 94°C by combining a condensate of stearic acid and aniline (melting point: 94°C) with a condensate of myristic acid and aniline (melting point: 84°C), and changing the composition ratio.
