Abstract:
PURPOSE: To provide a thermal transfer medium corresponding to rough paper, enhanced in fixing properties while keeping crosslinking transfer properties and capable of forming a sharp and fast image free from voids or breakage on rough paper by low printing energy.
CONSTITUTION: A release layer based on a waxy substance, a first thermal transfer layer composed of a hot-melt material containing 20-100-wt.% of a resin with a glass transition point of 50°C or higher and melt viscosity of 1×104cps/160°C or less and a second thermal transfer layer composed of a hot-melt material with melt viscosity of 1×105cps/160°C or more are provided on a base material in this order and a coloring agent is added to at least one of the first and second transfer layers.
