Abstract:

To make a recording mark of an ink ribbon unreadable by reducing an amount used of a treatment liquid.

Bumps of protrusions 61a and recesses 61b are formed on a roll surface of a rotary roll 61 formed of sponge. The protrusions 61a of the rotary roll 61 are made to contact with the ink ribbon 13. A treatment liquid is oozed out of the protrusions 61a of the rotary roll 61 impregnated with the treatment liquid and adhered to the ink ribbon 13. The bumps are formed by alternately forming the protrusions 61a and the recesses 61b over the circumference of the rotary roll 61, and the protrusions 61a and the recesses 61b have such shapes as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the rotary roll 61. The recess 61b is finished in a hard surface.
