Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer printer which prevents residual image leakage of an ink ribbon, and takes up the ink ribbon so as to have the uniform take-up diameter along the width direction in an ink ribbon take-up part.SOLUTION: A pressing part 22a of a brake pad 22 is pressed with respect to an ink ribbon 12 taken up by an ink ribbon take-up part 9. A sag part of the ink ribbon 12 is formed by rotating the ink ribbon take-up part 9 and a touch roller 23 in the direction reverse to the take-up direction. The ink ribbon 12 is pressed to a heating plate 22b by the touch roller 23 and two folded parts 12b orthogonal to the conveyance direction are formed by fusing the ink ribbon 12 of the sag part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
