Abstract:
PURPOSE: To form a good image without generating heat fusion even when a material not containing a lubricant for preventing the heat fusion of the ink layer of a thermal transfer recording medium and a transfer material is used as the transfer material in a sublimation transfer system.
CONSTITUTION: In a thermal transfer recording medium wherein an ink layer 1 consisting of a heat-sublimable dye or a hot-melt transfer dye and a binder resin is laminated to a base film 2, 0.1-10wt.% of wax is added to the ink layer 1.
