Abstract:

To form a clear recording image with excellent coloring density by a dye receptive layer of a thermal transfer recording image receiving element.

A dye receptive layer is formed of resin composition having a microdomain structure formed of soft resin component (resin having Tg of about -50 to 20°C such as urethane resin) and hard resin component (resin having Tg of about 30 to 180°C such as hard vinyl polymer). The composition contains resin composition having means size of a domain of 1 to 50 nm, means distance between adjacent domains of 10 to 1000 nm and a density of number of domains of 50 to 1000 pieces/μm2.
