Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal tripping device for a circuit breaker capable of adjusting a breaking time in overcurrent electrification into desired time in accordance with an application of an object while keeping equal a curvature amount of a curvature member and the breaking time in rating current electrification.SOLUTION: The thermal tripping device for the circuit breaker is brought into contact with a trip bar of a switch mechanism, thereby performing an opening operation of the switch mechanism. The thermal tripping device comprises the curvature member of which one end is fixed, which is heated in accordance with overcurrent that flows to a current path of the circuit breaker, and of which the other end can be displaced towards the trip bar. The curvature member includes: a first bimetal that is directly heated in accordance with the overcurrent; and a second bimetal which is provided in a thickness direction of the first bimetal and suppresses curvature of the first bimetal during the overcurrent electrification.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
