To provide a thermally-actuated valve which can optimally control the operation and output of an automotive engine by increasing the amount of water flowing through a main valve port of the thermally-actuated valve used in the water-cooled engine without enlarging its diameter, and by improving the fuel consumption rate and cleaning up the exhaust gas.
One or more auxiliary valve holes 29 are arranged at portions within the disk-like main valve element top face 16a of the thermally-actuated valve. Valve closing rods are located corresponding to the auxiliary valve holes 29 at positions where the valve closing rods sealingly close the auxiliary valve holes 29. Fitting recesses 28 are formed in a flange arch member 10 at positions corresponding to the auxiliary valve holes 29. The other ends of the valve closing rods are secured in the fitting recesses 28.
