Abstract:
To improve heat dissipation performance of a battery during normal operation, while effectively preventing heat transfer to other battery cells when the battery exhibits thermal runaway.SOLUTION: A thermally conductive thermally expandable member has a thermal conductivity 1 W/m K or more in a range of -30°C to 80°C, and starts expansion at a temperature more than 80°C. After the thermal expansion, the thermal conductivity becomes 0.5 W/m K or less, and it has a flame retardancy of V-1 or more by UL94 standard.SELECTED DRAWING: None
