Title:
THERMALLY RECORDING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5455446
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To eliminate the drawbacks that much calorie is required during the recording operation and that irregularity in the density of a recorded portion takes place by effecting a liquid phase between a heat-sensitive recording paper and a thermal head.

CONSTITUTION: There is applied to heat sensitive paper 1-1 a solid or liquid such as paraffin, which has a melting point lower than 100°C and which will be volatilized, when leaved, if it is in liquid phase at a room temperature, in a thickness of 0.5 to 1 micron. The liquid or solid thus prepared is interposed between the exothermic portions 1-2 of a thermal head during the recording operation as a liquid layer 2-1 which has a higher thermal conductivity than air. The liquid may alternatively be fed into the clearance between the paper 1-1 and the thermal head by the use of a nozzle or the like
