Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the subject film comprising ethylene terephthalate units and polyethylene glycol units in specific amounts, respectively, useful as a packaging material for covering and binding articles and having a sufficient thermal shrinkage degree in a prescribed direction, good strength and beautiful appearance. CONSTITUTION:The objective film contains at least one kind of polyester in which 50-90mol% of the polyester is a dicarboxylic acid component such as terephthalic acid, isophthalic acid of ethylene terephthalate units and 0.05-10mol.% is a diol component composed of polyethylene glycol units and/or polyethylene glycol copolymer units (preferably having a mol.wt. of 200-20000) and, if necessary, a lubricant, a coloring agent, etc., followed by forming the resin composition into the objective film which has a 100 deg.C thermal shrinkage degree of >=30% in a prescribed direction at >=100 deg.C.
