Title:
THERMALLY STABLE DUAL GIANT MAGNETORESISTIVE RECORDING HEAD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2001176033
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide a magnetoresistive sensor having a high operating temperature limit and hardly having the asymmetry of a signal response.

The method for providing the magnetoresistive sensor comprises a stage for disposing a first magnetization fixation layer 110, a stage for disposing a first spacer layer 120 on the first magnetization fixation layer, a stage for disposing a free layer 130 on the first spacer layer, a stage for disposing a second spacer layer 140 on the free layer and a stage for disposing a second magnetization fixation layer 150 on the second spacer layer. The first magnetization fixation layer includes a first and a second magnetic material layers which are separated by a first non-magnetic material layer 114. The first magnetic material layer is antiferromagnetically coupled with the second magnetic material layer. The second magnetization fixation layer includes a third and a fourth magnetic layers which are separated by a second non-magnetic material layer 154. The third magnetic material layer is anti-ferromagnetically coupled with the fourth magnetic material layer. The first and the second magnetization fixation layers are magnetized and fixed by the current carried by a magneto resistive head during the time when the magnetization fixation layers are used.
