PURPOSE: To provide a thermistor-type temperature sensor, for high temperature, whose thermal responsiveness high by a method wherein a protective case is formed of a heat-resistant metal having a through hole.
CONSTITUTION: A thermistor element 5 is housed in a protective case 7 which is formed of a heat-resistant metal net comprising many through holes 8a, and a bonding part 11 is formed. In this manner, since the through holes 8a are made in the protective case 7 protected mechanically from an external atmosphere, the heat capacity of the protective case 7 is reduced. In addition, it is relaxed that the transmission of heat to the thermistor element 5 from the external atmosphere is blocked by the protective case 7, and the heat is transmitted satisfactorily to the thermistor element 5 from the external atmosphere. As a result, a thermistor-type temperature sensor, for high temperature, whose thermal responsiveness is high is obtained. In addition, the thermistor element 5, lead wires 2a, 2b and a connection part 10b are protected from a creeping substance such as moisture, oil or the like by means of a coating agent 6 such as a ceramic, a glass or the like, and the temperature sensor whose degradation is eliminated and whose reliability is high can be realized.
