To provide a thermo-electric converter which can be used in such a temperature range that a high temperature end is excellent in heat resistance and good in thermo-electric conversion efficiency, and can have less heat generation loss at junction parts.
When the converter 1 has junction parts at which p-type thermo- electric semiconductors 2p, electrodes 4a, 4b and n-type thermo-electric semiconductors 2n are electrically connected; junction layers containing Ti, Zr, Cu and Ni are formed between the p-type thermo-electric semiconductors 2p of silicon and germanium as main components and the electrodes 4a, 4b and between the electrodes 4a, 4b and n-type thermo-electric semiconductors 2n of silicon and germanium as main components, and are joined together with soldering materials 3a, 3b of Ti-Zr-Cu-Ni alloy.
