Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform fixed point calibration by a wire method up to Zn, Al, Ag, Cu, Pd and relative calibration at an optional temperature point in a specified temperature range efficiently in one furnace in a short time by forming a heating body of an electric furnace of a cylindrical body made of platinum or a platinum alloy, and fitting electrode plates to both ends of the cylindrical heating body.
SOLUTION: Electrode plates 11 with end parts on the cylindrical body 10 side formed in curved shape are fitted to both ends of the cylindrical body 10 made of an Pt-Ru 10% alloy. A transformer and a sliding transformer 12 are arranged between these electrode plates 11 and connected. A ceramic fiber serving as heat insulating material is wound around the outside of the cylindrical body 10, and an alumina procelain pipe is mounted inside the cylindrical body 10 to form a thermocouple calibration furnace 15. An R-thermocouple 16 to be calibrated is inserted in the cylindrical body 10 of the thermocouple calibration furnace 15, and a Pd point is heated from room temperature by a wire bridging method to calibrate a fixed point. In the same way, the R-thermocouple 16 inserted in the thermocouple calibration furnace 15 is subjected to fixed point calibration of Cu, Au, Ag, Al, Zn points, and then subjected to relative calibration to a standard thermocouple at the specified temperature.
