Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low cost thermoelectric element excellent in thermoelectric performance.SOLUTION: A thermoelectric element 1 includes: a magnetic body 2, being magnetized, configured so as to be capable of forming a temperature gradient in a direction crossing a magnetization direction M; and an electromotive body 3, formed on a surface of the magnetic body 2 crossing in a direction of the temperature gradient, composed of platinum. A thickness of the electromotive body 3 is equal to or less than 8 nm. The thickness of the electromotive body 3 is preferably equal to or less than 5 nm, and is more preferably equal to or less than 3 nm.
