Title:
THERMOELECTRIC COOLING TYPE DRINKING WATER CAN COOLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2706429
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To permit the efficient cooling/heating of cans by a method wherein a thermoelectric module for cooling/heating drinking water cans by DC current through a heat transfer medium of a cooling/heating shoe, a heat capacitor for absorbing absorbed heat, and heat radiating fins as well as a heat radiating fan for releasing the heat of the heat capacitor are provided.
CONSTITUTION: A thermoelectric module 8 cools (or heats) drinking water cans through a cooling/heating shoe 7, made of a metallic material, constituting a cylindrical cooling/heating chamber capable of receiving the drinking water cans and excellent in a heat conductivity. Heat radiating fins 11 dissipates the heat of a heat capacitor 9, receiving heat absorbed by the thermoelectric module 8 upon cooling, to the outside of the capacitor 9. A heat radiating fan 12 for forced cooling increases the heat releasing effect of the heat releasing fins 11. In this case, a plurality of pieces of thermoelectric semiconductor elements are connected electrically in series and thermally in parallel to operate the thermoelectric modules 8 and provide them with cooling or heating function utilizing the Peltier effect of the thermoelectric semiconductor element.
