Abstract:
To provide a manufacturing method of thermoelectric element capable of manufacturing a thermoelectric element having high thermoelectric performance, while using normal pressure sintering.SOLUTION: In weighting step S1, when weighting magnesium powder, silicon powder, tin powder, and dopant element powder becoming raw material, tin is weighted so that the amount of tin becomes more than the amount determined by stoichiometric ratio. The base powder is blended uniformly in blending step S2, pressure molded in molding step S3 to make a compact for synthesis, and by heat treating in synthesis step S4 MgSiSn-based thermoelectric material is synthesized. A compact for sintering is made by pressure molding the powder of the MgSiSn-based thermoelectric material, obtained via a pulverization step S5 and granulation step S6, in molding step S7, normal pressure sintering of a sintering compact is performed in a sintering step S8, and the sintered compact thus obtained is heat-treated in a post-sintering heat treatment step S9.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
