Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelectric material, having a high ZT value in an intermediate to low temperature region from a room temperature to about 500°C, containing no elements harmful to human bodies and to provide a process of manufacturing the same.SOLUTION: The thermoelectric material includes: zirconium diboride (ZrB) as a main component; a base body 1 composed of a porous sintered body containing silicon carbide (SiC); and an oxide film 2 formed on a surface of the base body 1.
