Abstract:

To provide a thermoelectron heat pump with high efficiency used for a cooling device for an electronic part, a photonic part or cooling equipment such as a refrigerator, a freezer, a cooler, an air conditioner, and a thermoelectron heat pump module provided with it.

In this thermoelectron heat pump cooling a cathode electrode 12 by applying a bias voltage between the cathode electrode 11 and an anode electrode 12 and radiating electrons from the cathode electrode 11, the effective work function of the cathode electrode 11 is 0.7eV or lower, and an interval between the cathode electrode and the anode electrode and/or the bias voltage is set within a range for maximizing cooling ability per unit power consumption with desired cooling ability.
