Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermoelement at a low price by forming a case guide constituting a thermoelement body by press working plate members with a thin metallic material and securely coupling them by caulking.
SOLUTION: In a thermoelement where the flange part of a case filled with a wax genus w or silicon and the flange part of a guide holding a piston in a cylinder part are joined through a gum seal member like a diaphragm or O-ring and coupled and assembled by caulking, both of the case 1 and the guide 3 or any one of them is formed from a metallic plate by press working. A reinforcing ring of a metallic material thicker than the metallic plate is placed along an external face side of an opposite side of a joint face in the flange part of a formed part by the press working, and then a caulking flange is caulked to the ring.
