Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermomagnetic cycle device which can exhibit a high capacity even if having a traverse flow passage which extends between a rotating portion and a stop portion.SOLUTION: A vehicle air conditioner 1 has an MHP device 2 as a thermomagnetic cycle device. A rotor 7 driven by a rotating shaft 2a defines and forms a working chamber 11. A magneto-caloric element 12 is arranged in the working chamber 11. A magnetic field modulation device 14 imparts a magnetic field to the magneto-caloric element 12 by a permanent magnet 13. A flow passage changeover mechanism 18 switches a connection state between a flow passage of a heat transport medium including a pump 17 and the working chamber 11 so as to make the heat transport medium reciprocally flow to the magneto-caloric element 12. The pump 17 makes the heat transport medium flow in one direction. A piston 41 functions as a movable seal mechanism, and suppresses friction and the leakage of a fluid. The fluid which leaks out of the movable seal mechanism is inhaled to the pump 17. Materials which are low in friction coefficients are used for a member of the rotor 7 and a member for slide-moving with the rotor 7.
