PURPOSE: To obtain a thermometer for a hot liquid which makes it possible to know easily whether or not the hot liquid is in a state of temperature preferable for a human body, when a part of the human body is dipped in the hot liquid.
CONSTITUTION: This thermometer is constructed at least of a tubular glass body 11 in which an alcohol column 14 rising and falling in accordance with a change in temperature is easily formed and of a support body 15 holding the tubular glass body 11 and providing easy reading of the temperature of a hot liquid. The support body 15 has a wide graduation indicating part 16 on the upper part side thereof and a narrow support main body part 18 suspended and extended toward the lower side of the graduation indication part 16. Graduations 32 indicating a suitable state of temperature of the hot liquid are provided on the upper surface of the graduation indicating part 16, and a hook part 21 made up of a hooking-engaging part 22 on one side and a hooking-engaging part 25 on the other side which can be put on and engaged with an opening edge part of a hot liquid vessel freely while a state of tilting backward is maintained is provided in the rear of the support main body 18, while the tubular glass body 11 is set and held integrally in a groove part 27 provided in recession in the longitudinal direction of the support body 15.
