Title:
THERMOMETER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3373083
Kind Code:
B
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To detect the temperature at a measuring part accurately without requiring any correction of temperature indication by a pointer.
CONSTITUTION: Silicone oil is encapsulated in a temperature-sensitive part 1 made of alumina-based ceramic and when the temperature-sensitive part 1 is set at a measuring part, pressure variation accompanying expansion/ contraction of silicone oil is transmitted to a Bourdon tube which is thereby displaced. Consequently, a pointer 8 is turned and the temperature at the temperature measuring part is detected by reading out the rotation of pointer 8 on a scale 7a. Since the temperature-sensitive part 1 is made of alumina-based ceramic, no attention is required to the insulation distance between the temperature-sensitive part 1 and the measuring part. Consequently, the temperature-sensitive part 1 can be disposed closely to the measuring part and correction is not required for the temperature indicated by the pointer 8. Furthermore, the temperature is detected accurately because the temperature- sensitive part 1 is excellent in temperature transmitting performance.
