To provide a thermomotive overload trip device capable of minimizing failures due to manufacturing deviations at the manufacturing of the adjusting means, and capable of readily adjusting by doubling a means which is capable of adjusting the trip-action current sensitivity.
The thermomotive overload trip device is provided with a trip mechanism to be driven for rotating at a trip position by driving force of a shifter mechanism at generation of circuit overload; a release lever mechanism to be driven to rotate to a trip position by pressing the trip mechanism, when having the driving force of the shifter mechanism and to have the trip mechanism released, when not having the driving force of the shifter mechanism at generation of circuit overload; an adjusting lever driving the release lever mechanism to move horizontally through rotation; an adjusting knob equipped with a setting operation groove on an upper face and a cam part on a lower part; and a means for adjusting the sensitivity of the trip action current, independently and irrespective of the adjusting knob operation.
