To provide a thermopile sensor which can perform more precise temperature compensation by facilitating precise positioning of a temperature compensation element, in the thermopile sensor using a thermopile element.

The thermopile sensor includes: a substrate 2 on which a thick part 4 and a thin film part 3 are formed; the thermopile element 5 to which a plurality of thermocouples 8 in which cold contacts 6 at the thick part 4 and hot contacts 7 at the thin film part 3 are arranged are connected in series; a step part 9 formed on the substrate 2 itself near the cold contacts 6; and the temperature compensation element 10 attached to the step part 9.
