Abstract:
PURPOSE:To prepare a thermoplastic elastomer compsn. excellent in the flexibility, resistance to refrigerant penetration, heat resistance, and low-temp. impact strength and useful for a refrigerant hose in an automobile airconditioner, etc., by dispersing an epichlorohydrin rubber as microparticles in a polyamide resin. CONSTITUTION:35-75wt.% epichlorohydrin rubber (e.g. ethylene oxide- epichlorohydrin copolymer) is dispersed as microparticles in a continuous phase of 25-65wt.% polyamide resin (e.g. nylon 6/66) to give a thermoplastic elastomer compsn. for a refrigerant hose.
