Abstract:
To provide a thermoplastic elastomer composition having excellent low compression set characteristics.SOLUTION: A thermoplastic elastomer composition is obtained by melt kneading an ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber (A) that is a copolymer of ethylene, α-olefin having 3 to 20 carbon atoms and nonconjugated polyene, a polyolefin resin (B) and a mineral oil-based softening agent (C) in the presence of a crosslinking agent (D), wherein the ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber (A) is at least partially crosslinked, has a sea-island structure that the ethylene-α-olefin-nonconjugated polyene copolymer rubber (A) is dispersed as a dispersion phase (island phase) in a continuous phase (sea phase) of the polyolefin resin (B), and when the cross section of the composition is observed by an atomic force microscope (AFM), a ratio (b)/(a) of a local elastic modulus (b) of the continuous phase to a local elastic modulus (a) of the dispersion phase is 10-30.SELECTED DRAWING: None
