Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible thermoplastic elastomer composition excellent in strain recovery at a high temperature.
SOLUTION: The thermoplastic elastomer composition contains 100 mass pts. of an addition-polymerized block copolymer (I) which comprises a block copolymer having one or more aromatic vinyl compound polymer blocks (A) and one or more conjugated diene compound polymer blocks (B), which has in the polymer blocks (A) structural units derived from an alkylstyrene group and having at least one 1-8C alkyl group bonded to a benzene ring, in an amount of at least 1 mass% based on the mass of the polymer blocks (A) and which comprises a crosslinked block copolymer at least crosslinked at the parts of the polymer blocks (A), and/or a hydrogenated derivative thereof; 10-300 mass pts. of a polyolefin (II); and 0-300 mass pts. of a rubber softener (III). A process for producing the thermoplastic elastomer composition is provided which comprises subjecting the composition to dynamical crosslinking treatment under a molten condition.
