To provide a resin film which is more excellent in a gas barrier property and a moisture proof property than a conventional resin film, and is excellent in heat resistance and free from fear of exerting a bad influence on the human body even when used as packaging material for food, drugs or the like.
The resin film is formed by laminating (A) a reaction product of at least one kind of a compound selected from a metal alkoxide and a derivative of the metal alkoxide and a compound having ≥2 hydroxyl groups in a molecule or (B) a metallic film containing the hydrolysate of the product (A) on a base layer film comprising a thermoplastic norbornene based resin. The metal alkoxide is at least one kind selected from a group consisting of tantalum alkoxide, titanium alkoxide, aluminum alkoxide, silane alkoxide and zirconium alkoxide.
